Cyclades & Dodecanese
Rhodes after dark
Rhodes splits cleanly into three nightlife tribes. The UNESCO medieval Old Town keeps cellar bars and live-music tavernas inside Knights-of-St-John walls — atmospheric, slow, mostly couples. Faliraki, 15 km south, runs Greece's longest-standing British-package club zone — the famous Bar Street has a club every 20 metres, foam parties and £3 vodkas, June-September. Lindos, 50 km south, is the upscale alternative — whitewashed rooftop bars under the Acropolis lit at night. The New Town (Mandraki, Akti Miaouli) is where local Rhodians actually drink year-round — proper Greek bouzoukia and rakadika.
