Hotel Grande Bretagne
Kolonaki · Hotel
Athens’ landmark grand hotel facing Syntagma Square, with a rooftop terrace that frames the Acropolis. Five-star service in the spot where the city’s history actually happened.

Attica
Athens is the only Greek city that runs hard every night of the year. The scene splits cleanly: Gazi-Kerameikos and Psyrri carry the late, sweaty club nights; Kolonaki and Plaka host the Acropolis-view rooftops; Exarchia rules the indie and alt-rock circuit; and from June to September the whole city drifts south to the Athens Riviera beach clubs in Glyfada and Vouliagmeni. Things start late — bars fill at midnight, clubs after 1am, bouzoukia keep going until sunrise.
Gazi
The city's main club district, anchored by Technopolis. Big rooms, heavy sound, doors open past 1am.

Psyrri

Exarchia
Indie, alt-rock, punk and live music venues. Cheaper drinks, students, no dress code — the opposite of Kolonaki.

Funky Gourmet
Fine dining
Two-Michelin-star tasting-menu restaurant tucked into a neoclassical house near Kerameikos. Modernist, playful Greek cuisine — the chef-driven end of the Athens dining scene.
A for Athens
Psyrri · Rooftop bar
Hotel rooftop staring straight at the Acropolis from across Monastiraki Square. A pre-dinner cocktail surface; arrive early in summer to get a table by the parapet.
Electra Metropolis Athens
Psyrri · Boutique hotel
Central boutique hotel between Syntagma and Plaka. The signature is the rooftop pool and bar with a head-on Acropolis view — quieter than the Grande Bretagne, modern interior.
360 Cocktail Bar
Psyrri · Rooftop bar
Open-air rooftop over Monastiraki Square with a full Acropolis view. Quieter than its neighbour, jazz and lounge soundtrack, well-built cocktails.
Karamanlidika tou Fani
Psyrri · Taverna
All-day taverna built around a charcuterie counter — Greek cured meats, regional cheeses, daily stews. A reliable, casual lunch and a long, loud dinner.
The Clumsies
Psyrri · Bar
Day-to-night cocktail house — café energy in the morning, the kind of mixology bar that draws the city's bartenders by midnight. Quiet front, livelier back room, drinks led by classics with Greek-ingredient twists.
Underdog Athens
Psyrri · Bar
Specialty coffee shop by day, low-lit cocktail bar by night. Tight Thissio-edge space, accomplished drinks list, less of a club crowd, more of a sit-and-talk one.
Bolivar Beach Bar
Glyfada · Beach club
Athens Riviera beach club running daytime sunbeds into evening DJ sets and concerts. Summers only — when it's on it's the city's main outdoor music venue.
Galaxy Bar
Kolonaki · Rooftop bar
Rooftop bar of the Hilton with a clear sweep across the city and the Acropolis. Hotel-bar polish — quieter sound, jazz at the piano, dressier crowd than the Monastiraki rooftops.
